WrestleMania 28 Predictions
It is now time for me to make my WrestleMania 28 predictions! Yes, I am a big fan of wrestling and watch it. The 28th annual WrestleMania is tomorrow night and it promises to be a very memorable one. There are four main event matches on schedule and boy are they big! Those matches are, Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship, CM Punk vs Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship, Triple H vs The Undertaker in a Hell In A Cell match with Shawn Michaels as special guest referee, and then there’s John Cena vs The Rock. All four promise to be exciting matches and put on a show. This years WrestleMania is being held in Miami at Sun Life Stadium, home of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. It’ll be outdoors and a canaby will be hung over the ring incase it rains. The other matches on schedule are, Randy Orton vs Kane, Big Show vs Cody Rhodes for the Intercontinental Championship, Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos vs Beth Phoenix & Eve Torres, and Team Teddy vs Team Johnny 12 man tag team match. It isn’t the best ever undercard but it can be pretty good. Also, another match could be announced during the event, like it happens during lots of pay-per-views.
One last thing, two former WWE superstars have been spotted at a Miami hotel this weekend and are rumored to possibly make returns to the WWE but no one knows if they will participate in WrestleMania. Those two superstars are former World Heavyweight Champion and WWE Champion, Batista, and former WWE Champion and former UFC World Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar. If one or both return, that will be huge for the WWE and will excite the fans. It’s just speculation now, but you will have to watch WrestleMania 28 to see if they come back. So without further ado, I present my WrestleMania 28 predictions.
1.Sheamus defeats Daniel Bryan. NEW World Heavyweight Champion. – It looks like the WWE has been trying to give Sheamus a big push and his Royal Rumble win was the beginning of it and a World Title WrestleMania win will continue it to me.
2.Cody Rhodes defeats Big Show to retain the Intercontinental Championship. – The WWE likes Cody and why end his IC Title reign now? Having Big Show win does nothing. Cody will get knocked out after he wins though.
3.Team Johnny (David Otunga, The Miz, Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry, and Drew McIntyre) defeats Team Teddy (Santino Marella, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Zack Ryder, The Great Khali, and Booker T). – Everyone hates John Laurinaitis and want Team Teddy to win, but it won’t happen. This match is to see which manager will run both Raw and Smackdown. Teddy Long has been with the WWE long enough and I don’t see the WWE getting rid of John Laurinaitis now.
4.Kane defeats Randy Orton. – Kane really needs a big win, and I don’t see the WWE giving him two big losses in a row at the two ppv’s he’s fought at since returning. I can see Randy Orton winning too, but I think Kane gets this, he hasn’t been great at WrestleMania.
5.Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos defeat Eve Torres & Divas Champion Beth Phoenix. – It’s the diva’s match, who cares? The favorites always win and there’s a celebrity in the match, the celebrity doesn’t lose.
6.Undertaker defeats Triple H inside Hell In A Cell. – I hate the idea that Shawn Michaels is the guest referee, you just know he will be involved big time. I see HBK costing HHH the match in some way and giving Undertaker the win and the perfect 20-0 record at WrestleMania. I expect the next night on Raw that a Shawn Michaels vs Triple H match will be set up for WrestleMania 29.
7.CM Punk defeats Chris Jericho to retain the WWE Championship. – It doesn’t sound like Chris Jericho will stay with the WWE for the long run and might leave again this summer to tour with his band. If that’s the case, why give him the WWE Title if it’d be a short reign? I think CM Punk gets his big WrestleMania moment and successfully defends the WWE Championship. I’m also very confident Sheamus wins the World Heavyweight Championship, and I don’t think both major titles will change hands.
8.John Cena defeats The Rock. – The big shocker! Yes, I know it’s The Rock’s hometown and many people believe he’ll win, but something tells me that Cena will get his big legendary win at WrestleMania. The Rock winning is so predictable and I don’t see it happening, no matter how good it looks for Rocky. Cena needs this win more and will get it. I expect it to be at least a half hour match and everyone to be on the edge of their seats. I think throughout the match it’ll take two or three AA’s from Cena or Rock Bottoms from The Rock to win this match. It’ll be one of the most memorable WrestleMania matches ever, I’m sure of that.
This WrestleMania has the chance to go down as one of the best ever if the matches live up to their hype. There are three matches that can go down as one of the best ever WrestleMania matches, those matches are the Rock/Cena match, Punk/Jericho WWE Title match, and the Undertaker/Triple H Hell In A Cell match. I have no doubt that all three will live up the hype, but can the lower hyped matches live up to the hype? I’m skeptical and pessimistic about them, but we’ll just have to see. Enjoy WrestleMania 28 everyone!
